Agnes Monica Morgan, nee Kaiser, age 97, of Mascoutah, formerly of O'Fallon, born July 11, 1920 in Philadelphia, Penn., died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Mar-Ka Nursing Home, Mascoutah, Ill.
Agnes, also known as Monica, was a Navy veteran of World War II, where she served as a medical assistant. She worked various jobs throughout her life, but primarily was a nursing aide at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Kaiser; her husband Robert E. Morgan; her son Robert Morgan; and her siblings Paul Kaiser, Mary Kaiser, and Margaret Kraft.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law Donna Morgan of Belleville; her granddaughters Dawn (Bradford) Pierce of Collinsville, and Deborah (Philip Harkins) Morgan of Belleville; her step-son Gerald Morgan of Urbana, Ill.; her sister Sister Veronica Kaiser, and sister-in-law Margaret "Peggy" Kaiser, both of Philadelphia; five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 am, Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O'Fallon.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, September 22, 2017, at the church, with Msgr. William J. Hitpas presiding. Burial with military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis County, Mo.
