Alice Huffman, age 89, of O'Fallon, born December 16, 1929 in Las Vegas, Nev., the oldest of six girls, passed away Tuesday morning, March 19, 2019 at Memorial East Hospital, Shiloh, Ill., following a brief illness.

Alice graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and as a young woman, worked as a waitress. She moved often with her family, living in Chicago, Cleveland, and California, and later settled in O'Fallon. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, O'Fallon Ward. She was an avid genealogist and enjoyed crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Alma, nee Leavitt, Huffman; and her sister Marilyn Ivie Whitmore.

Surviving are her daughter Jody (Barry) Mahan of O'Fallon; her grandchildren Carl (Lindy), David, Michael, and Karen Fisher; great-grandchildren Andrew, Jordan, Aaron, and Cameron Fisher, Tiffany Henrichs, Jeremy Soffen, and McKenzie Dempsey; sisters Norma Lou Mull, Athella Huffman, Dawn Marie (Kent) Hardy, and Gloria Ann (Kenneth) Peterson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to offset the cost of the funeral.

Visitation: The family will receive friends after 9 am, Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 255 Fairwood Hills Rd., O'Fallon.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, O'Fallon, Ill. Interment will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
