Obituary

FUNERAL HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR 1:30 PM, SUNDAY, JANUARY 13, 2019, AT CENTRAL CHRISTIAN CHURCH, O'FALLON

Angelina "Angie" Davis, Master Sergeant, USAF, retired, nee Del Rosario, age 63, of O'Fallon, Ill., born June 4, 1955 in Angeles City, Philippines, passed away January 6, 2019 at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Angie left home at an early age to work, support her family and send herself to school. As the oldest of six children, she worked hard to earn her education. She attended Angeles University, in the Philippines, and later earned her management degree from Park University. She served honorably in the US Air Force for 20 years, making a significant contribution at Travis AFB in the early 1990s as she was instrumental in assisting military dependent evacuees following the Mount Pinatubo eruption near Clark Air Base. She retired in 2003 from Scott AFB where she was the Superintendent of the passenger terminal. After 2 years working as a financial analyst with a defense contractor, Angie accepted a position with the State Department in the Philippines,  where she re-opened Clark Air Base for DOD activities.

Angie met her husband Tim on a blind date, and they married December 30, 1983 in Reno, Nev. Angie was proud of her children and was elated about her grandchildren, and was so excited to be a "Lola" herself. She always encouraged her family to work hard and strive to do well. She was a member of Central Christian Church in O'Fallon. She loved her dogs, Maja and Haley.

She was preceded in death by her father Roydo Del Rosario and her brother Ricky Del Rosario.

Surviving are her husband Tim Davis (MSgt, USAF, retired) of O'Fallon; her children Sara (Andy) Leitner of St. Louis and Gabriel (Keyme) Davis of Japan; her beloved grandchildren Gavin Drew Leitner and Brady Alexander Davis; her mother Feliza, nee Balot, Del Rosario, and siblings Corazon Harris, Maria (James) Harvey, Roydo (Josie) Del Rosario, Jr., and May (Bret) Stewart.

Angie was diagnosed with a chronic condition and was placed on the organ transplant list 4 years ago. She was relieved to finally be notified of the opportunity, but sadly, passed away during the surgery. Please consider signing up for the national organ donor registry, to inspire hope in others. Memorial donations are suggested to Mid-America Transplant Services.
