Obituary

Ann Clementine Langhauser, nee Maue, age 93, of O'Fallon, born August 21, 1921, in Breese, Ill., passed away Monday afternoon, January 12, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Ann had retired as a cook from St. Clare Catholic School in O'Fallon. She was a long-time active member of the St. Clare Altar Sodality and Altar Angels. She was a quilter at church for over 40 years, and had quilted at Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows and participated in their Mind's Eye program.

Ann enjoyed playing cards and baking breads and cookies for her grandchildren. She had a special love for her husband and her family.

Surviving are her daughters Joyce (Patrick) Boyne of Belleville; Janice (Doyle) Eiler of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren Elizabeth Boyne, Patrick (Cassie) Boyne; Zachary (April) Vander Haar, and Justin Vander Haar; three great-grandchildren Addison and Bethany Boyne, and Dylan Vander Haar. Also surviving are her siblings Harold Maue, Donald (Julie) Maue, Bernice Huelsman, Irene Maue, and Jeanette Beckmann, sister-in-law Mary Ann Maue, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Eugene J. Langhauser, whom she married May 21, 1947 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Breese, and who passed away December 21, 1994; her parents Joseph and Sophie, nee Hollenkamp, Maue; brothers Eugene, Gregory, Aloys, and Joseph; and great-grandson Patrick James Boyne.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Clare Catholic Church.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, and after 10:00 am, Friday, January 16, 2015, at the church.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Shiloh, with Rev. James Deiters presiding.

Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
