Annie Donnell, age 93, of O'Fallon, Illinois, passed away Sunday morning, October 8, 2006 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. Annie was born to Thomas and Lillian (nee Walmsley) Lord in Preston, England, on May 16, 1913. Mrs. Donnell was a homemaker who loved playing bingo and in her recent years, especially enjoyed her time with friends at Our World Adult Day Care in O'Fallon. She liked trivia game shows, loved animals and the color purple, and was very proud of her loving family.


She is survived by her son, Thomas (Marylaine) Donnell, daughter Gloria (Piek) Beck, with whom she lived for the past five years, all of O'Fallon; seven grandchildren: Bart Donnell, Kim (David) Hagelstein of O'Fallon, Larry (Lisa) Piek of Springfield, Il; Kenneth Piek of Springfield, IL, Mary Jo (Scott) Gruber of Troy, IL; Tommy Reinhardt of Belleville, IL; Brian (Nicole) Reinhardt of Washington, DC; 10 great grandchildren: Jacob Piek of Afton, MO; Trevor (Brittany) Ellerbrake, of O'Fallon, Joseph, Aaron, and Trey Gruber of Troy, IL, Nathan Smalling of O'Fallon, Alex Rose of Belleville, Evan Donnell of O'Fallon, and Mikey and Christian Reinhardt of Washington, DC; one great, great grandson, Draven Ellerbrake of O'Fallon, and sister Hilda Patric of Waterford, CT.

Mrs. Donnell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Donnell, whom she married February 28, 1933 and who passed away in 1986; her sister Louise Berryman and sons-in-law, Joe Piek and Bob Beck.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home Chapel, O'Fallon.

Interment will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
