Obituary

Audrey Ann Peet, age 58, of O'Fallon, Ill., passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with brain cancer, on March 29, 2021, with her loving husband and children by her side.  Born October 20, 1962 in Miami, Fla., Audrey was preceded in death by her mother Michele Fay, nee Bolway, Frederick, and father Charles Paul.

Audrey grew up in Miami, Fla. and was raised by her mother and her step-father Michael Frederick. Together, Michele and Michael raised five daughters: Michal Johnson, Dorothy Jensen, Grace Paul, Kallie Frederick and Audrey.

A veteran of the US Air Force, Audrey graduated from McKendree University in 2012 with a Master's Degree in Special Education. From 2000 until this year, she devoted her career to teaching underprivileged children.  Most recently, she taught for 5 years at Walbridge STEAM Elementary School, in North St. Louis.

Audrey Peet is survived by her husband Michael E. Peet, whom she married on July 22, 1992; her four children, Chris R. Janson, Kassandre M. Stoehr, Caitlyn S. Peet and Houston C. Peet. Audrey's three grandchildren Harrison E. Peet, Charlotte O. Stoehr and Theodore K. Stoehr were the light of her world. Audrey will always be remembered for her exceptionally generous nature and an overwhelming desire to help those in need.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh, with Rev. James Deiters presiding.
