Barbara Ann Armstrong, nee McIntosh, age 61, passed away Sunday evening, November 9, 2025 at her home in O'Fallon, Ill., with her family at her side.

Barbara was born June 10, 1964 in Berwyn, Ill., the only daughter of William Arthur and Alice Louise, nee Wehrmann, McIntosh. She married John Crishal Armstrong on July 15, 1989 at St. Nicholas Parish in O'Fallon.

Barb's career began as a cartographer for IDOT and later with NGA in St. Louis. She was a stay-at-home mom when her twins were little and found herself working as a teachers' aid when they started school. Later in life, Barb found her true calling as she returned to college, at the same time as her children, and attained her Nursing degree. She worked tirelessly tending to babies and mothers at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for many years. She was also a dedicated caregiver to her parents in their final years. Barb found solace in her gardening, she enjoyed being Nana to Jack, and was a faithful parishioner at St. Nicholas Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David B. McIntosh.

Surviving are her husband Cris Armstrong of O'Fallon, Ill., children Ceryce Armstrong of O'Fallon, and Maggie (P.J.) Moran of San Antonio; grandson Jack Moran; brothers Bill (Dawn) McIntosh of Larkspur, Colo., Rob (Wendy) McIntosh of O'Fallon, Jon (Jessica) McIntosh of Fulton, Mo., sisters-in-law Diana McIntosh and Meg (Terry) Pinney.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm, Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O'Fallon, and from 9 – 10 am, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the church, with Fr. Nick Junker presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Keppler's Cemetery, O'Fallon Township, Ill.
