Barbara Lulu Minerd, nee Brubaker, age 76, of Shiloh, Ill., born March 13, 1947 in Somerset, Penn., passed away October 3, 2023 at BJC Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Barbara grew up in Somerset and graduated from Somerset Area High School in 1965. She married James E. Minerd on November 10, 1968, and settled in the O'Fallon area due to his Air Force service. Barbara was a clerk and worked with Jim at the Texaco station, which was formerly located in downtown O'Fallon. Barb was a loving wife and devoted herself to her family as a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband James; her parents Ralph and Anaruth, nee Bittner, Brubaker; and her brother Roger Brubaker.
She is survived by daughter Crystal Cochran; son Terry (Lisa) Minerd; grandchildren Hunter, Ethan, and Jordan Cochran, and Nicholas and Taylor Minerd; brother Robert (Sherry) Brubaker, sister Emma Horne, sister-in-law Sharon Brubaker; and great-granddaughter Holli Asberry.

Visitation will be from 3-5 pm, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.
