Betty L. Crossno, nee Lewis, age 85, of Greenville, Ill., formerly of O'Fallon, born January 29, 1937 in Monette, Ark., passed away peacefully in her home October 16, 2022.
Betty grew up in Sikeston, Mo., and married the love of her life, Calvin, on March 8, 1958 in Collinsville. They resided in O'Fallon until 2006. She worked at Siemens Mfg. in Freeburg for many years. Betty was a pillar at CrossView Church and the spiritual leader for her family. She was a former Sunday School teacher and was a constant silent prayer warrior throughout her life. Betty loved flower gardening, feeding the hummingbirds, and being outdoors. Her daughters have fond memories of a wonderful childhood with great parents.

She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin on November 28, 2020; her siblings James Lewis, Bert Luehder, Dale Lewis, Danny Lewis, and infant Reba Lewis.
Surviving are her daughters Diane (Bill) Bates of O'Fallon, Susan (Cy) Cypert of Greenville; grandchildren Shain Bates, Heath (Bonnie) Bates, Callie (Mike) Williams; great-grandchildren Emma, Allie, Savannah, Harper; sisters Elaine (Larry) Gerstman, Brenda King, Teresa Baccus; special nieces Jackie (Jerry) Graham who was more like a daughter, Charlotte (Hal) Marshall, and Sue Huff; nephew Danny Crossno; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and other cherished family members.
Visitation will be 9 am – Noon, Friday, October 21, 2022 at CrossView Church, 915 E. Highway 50, O'Fallon. Services will begin at Noon, at the church, with Rev. Kent Wilson and Rev. Don Woods officiating. Burial at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill., followed by a luncheon at church.
