Betty Louise Shull, nee Schmidt, age 79, of O'Fallon, born August 13, 1934 in O'Fallon, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Betty was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. A graduate of OTHS in 1952, she worked as a cashier at Tomboy groceries in O'Fallon during the 1970's and 80's. She was dedicated to caring for her home and her family. She taught by example, leading a life of kindness and strong work ethic.

She was preceded in death by her husband whom she missed dearly, Rolland Shull, who died December 19, 2007; her parents George and Mae, nee Jacquot, Schmidt; and her brother Kenneth Schmidt.

Surviving are her four children, Brent (Nina) Shull of Belleville, Rhonda (Dave) Wagner of Caseyville, Renee Carson of O'Fallon, and Roxann Shull of O'Fallon; her much-loved grandchildren Tarrah and Dustin Wagner; Kayla, Hunter, and Alexa Carson; Bobby Shull; and Amanda Fix; and her new great-granddaughter Cheyenne Renee Carson.

Also surviving are her sister Dorothy (Norris) Beckman; brother Robert (Patricia) Schmidt and her sister-in- law Jean Schmidt.

Memorials may be made to the O'Fallon Community Food Pantry.

Visitation: 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon.

Funeral: Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, with Pastor Danny F. Cox officiating. Burial will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, Illinois.
