Bobby LuJune Hegwood, 68, of Centralia, Illinois, died at 5:20 pm, Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Hospital, Centralia, Illinois.
He was born December 1, 1943 in Valdosta, Georgia, son of Thomas and Agnes, nee Palmer, Hegwood. He married Janie E. Barnett on December 16, 1961 in Immokalee, Florida and she survives in Centralia.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is also survived by his five children, Katrina Ramsey and husband, Brannen, of Lubbock, Texas; Robbie Hegwood and wife, Christina, of Centralia; Mary Faught and husband, Mike, of Centralia; Agnes Duncan and husband, Vince, of Brandon, Florida; and Bobbie Sue Hegwood and Jack Erlinger of Centralia.
Also surviving are ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and special friends Gary Haizlip and the Brewer, Horton, and Roper families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, an infant daughter, an aunt, two uncles, two brothers, and his best friend Robert "Shorty" Troutt.
Mr. Hegwood worked at Valley Steel for more than 25 years, and at Big 3 Precision for five years as a burn table operator. He attend the Church of God.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012, at New Destiny Church of God in Centralia.
