Obituary

Bonnie Choline Suggs, nee Allison, age 73, of O'Fallon, born December 10, 1950 in Saltville, Va., passed away January 28, 2024 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, Ill., surrounded by her loving family.

Bonnie married the love of her life on November 15, 1968 and that bond became the mainstay of the family for 54 loving years.  Bonnie was a longtime member of O'Fallon First United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the "Prayer Circle" prayer group and helped to prepare many a meal featuring her "famous meatloaf."  Bonnie belonged to the "Hearts 'n' Hands" Quilt Guild and spent many hours crafting handmade pieces for the family. She had previously worked as a cake decorator for Kroger Foods, but was best known for her work at BonJo's Upholstery Shop, which she operated along with her late husband Joe. Bonnie enjoyed quilting, embroidery, crocheting, oil painting, and visiting the antique shops. She was a collector of many things, especially chicken-themed collectibles. She and Joe loved to travel and RV camp, and Bonnie was a KC Chiefs fan. To help celebrate Bonnie's love of a Grand Tea Party, please feel welcome to join her daughters and granddaughters in wearing your favorite tea-party hat to her services.

In addition to her beloved husband Joe, she was preceded in death by her children Barney and Melissa, her parents Warren and Mary, nee Brinkley, Allison; brother Warren "Sonny" Allison, and sister Patricia "Patsy" Crafton.
