Brad William Haukapp, age 59, born January 31, 1965 in Belleville, Ill., to William and Kay, nee Miller, Haukapp, passed away at his home in Goldthwaite, Texas on February 20, 2024 with his devoted wife and loving sister at his side.
Brad grew up in O'Fallon and graduated from OTHS in 1983. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served from 1983-90, where he learned his trade as an Operating Room technician. Brad was an extremely loving husband, father, son and a friend who would and did help anyone. His spirit and infectious laugh brought joy to all who knew him. We will miss him but will never forget our strong angel. Brad was well respected by his peers. He enjoyed camping, fishing, vacationing at Pensacola Beach and was a St. Louis Blues fan.
Surviving are his loving and faithful wife Kim, whom he married June 20, 1999 in Austin, Texas; his son Brian (Taylor Bradley) Haukapp of O'Fallon, son Tyler Haukapp of Austin, Texas, and daughter Kiersten Haukapp of Goldthwaite, Texas; his parents Bill and Kay Haukapp of O'Fallon; brother Keith Haukapp of O'Fallon, and sister Wendy (Hank) Wegs of Mount Sterling, Ill.
The family is grateful for the steadfast care, kindness and friendship that has been shown by many people, especially Julie and Mike Mate, Steve Brown, Mike Davis, Paula Ralston, and Dr. Thomas Bening. Cards and Memorials in memory of Brad are suggested to his family, attn. Bill and Kay Haukapp, and may be mailed to Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, IL 62269.
Brad's parents will host a Celebration of Life at their home on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2 – 5 pm.
