IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brennen "Bryn"
Scott Willis
November 8, 1989 – May 21, 2018
Brennen "Bryn" Scott Willis, 28 of O'Fallon, Illinois passed away on Monday May 21, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Bryn was born November 8th, 1989 at the General Leonard Wood Hospital in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri to Susan and the late Richard Henry Dunning Willis IV.
Bryn had an adventurous spirit, a generous heart and was never without a smile. If you had the honor of knowing Bryn, you felt what it was like to be in the presence of someone truly special. He had an infectious personality and could bring happiness to any situation. He was someone who would embrace you as a friend, even if it was the first time that you met him. Bryn was an incredibly caring and attentive son, brother, uncle and friend to many and we are all better for having known him.
Bryn's greatest joy was spending time with his niece and nephew, watching their first steps, laughing with them and being the fun, wild uncle. He truly loved every second that he was able to spend with them and it was easy to see how much they loved to see their uncle Bryn. He also loved playing with his dog, Bella, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike, canoe and enjoy the wilderness. Bryn was blessed with many wonderful friends that will always hold a special place in his family's heart.
Bryn was a light in our world that shone brightly for his loving family and devoted friends. We will cherish the memories he leaves us with and will remember him as the joyous, loving, caring and spectacular person that he was to each and every person that he met.
Bryn was preceded in death by his father, Richard Henry Dunning Willis IV; his grandparents, Richard Henry Dunning III and Norma Willis; Dr. Fredric "Doc" Walter Reitz and his aunt Elizabeth Mary Reitz.
He is survived by his mother, Susan "Sue" Willis, his brother and sister, Richard "Rick" Henry Dunning Willis V (Jessica) and Elizabeth "Libby" Willis, his nephew/Godson and niece, Richard Henry Dunning VI and Lillian Vere Willis, and his grandmother, Mary Reitz. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "Bryn Willis Memorial Fund" at the Bank of O'Fallon, to be shared between Missing Pieces Network (an organization that offers support to victims and families of missing persons) and a permanent memorial yet to be determined.
"Tonight, when you look up, don't think of them as stars. Think of them as porch lights, welcoming your loved one safely home."
The Willis family is grateful to the communities of O'Fallon and Little Rock for the continued outpouring of love and support during this tragedy.
