Carl Benjamin Wright, Jr., age 76, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born March 11, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Carl was a man of few words, but when he did speak, he made us laugh. He was an all-around great guy and was funny in his own kind of way. He had retired from General Motors Corp. after a 45-year career, and will be remembered as one heckuva pool player.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl B. Wright and Desolina, nee Bell, Wright; and his sister Marilyn Sokolavi.

Surviving are his wife Carla J. Witt Wright, three sons in Ohio, his daughter in N.C.; siblings Angel Stephens, Curtis Wright, and Kimberly DeLong
