Charles B. Caito

Charles Barlow Caito, age 82, of Fairview Heights, born March 4, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away February 28, 2009.

Charlie was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Navy in the South Pacific aboard the USS Manlove. After he retired from Century Electric, he opened his own repair shop in Fairview Heights, CBC Electric.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Maria, nee Sansone, Caito; three brothers John, Joseph, and Larry Caito; two sisters Theresa Caito and Rose Ragsdale.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Annalee, nee Farrow, Caito; his daughters Marina Smith of Roseville, Calif., and Marylaine (Tom) Donnell of O'Fallon, Ill.; grandchildren Bart Donnell, Kim (David) Hagelstein, Tommy (Shannon) Reinhardt, Brian & Nicole Reinhardt; great grandchildren, Alex, Michael, Christian, Trevor, Nathan, Evan, Draven, & one more on the way. He is also survived by his sister Cecilia (Cecil) Link.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home. His body was donated to St. Louis University School of Medicine. Condolences may be extended to the family by visiting www.wfh-ofallon.com.

Memorial Service: A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 West Washington Street, O'Fallon, with Rev. James Deiters officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the US Navy. A reception for friends and family will follow.
