On Monday, October 17, 2022, Charles 'Chuck' Joseph Crupe passed away at age 86.
Chuck was born on April 12, 1936 in St. Louis to Joseph and Mary (nee Pirrone) Crupe. Chuck graduated from St. Mary's High School, attended a year at the University of Missouri, and served 5 years in the Missouri Air National Guard as a vehicle mechanic at Jefferson Barracks. He was the building manager at Chromalloy Photographic Industries, Inc. at 1706 Washington Ave. in St. Louis for 35 years.
Chuck was an avid motorcycle rider, and he often traveled across the country.
Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Alice (nee Boedecker), his parents, three siblings, and his son Terrence.
He is survived by his son Michael (Margarita) of O'Fallon, his daughter Cynthia (James) Diebold of Hamilton, Ohio; his daughter-in-law Stefanie (nee Sasse) Crupe, of Columbia, Mo.; three grandchildren: Monica (Patrick) Schless, Matthew (Rachel) Crupe of Chicago, and Jack Diebold; and great-grandson William Schless.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Visitation will be 9 am, Monday, October 24, 2022, at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., O'Fallon, Ill., followed by Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10 am, with Rev. Jim Deiters presiding. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
