Charles Davis of Shiloh, IL, born June 4, 1948 passed away on September 8, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by loved ones.

Charlie was born in Anawalt, WV to Charles and Sylvia Davis. He was a U.S. Marine who served during Vietnam. He was a supervisor at various dairy plants starting at Kroger in St. Louis, MO to Atlanta Dairy in Atlanta, GA to Pet Dairy/Dean Foods in O'Fallon, IL, where he met his wife of 26 ½ years, Becky. While classic cars and camping were his favorite pastimes, at home he would be found in the garage or yard and always had several projects going. Charlie ('Bud' to his siblings) never met a stranger and rarely sat still. He was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church and always loved taking care of things around the church.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Betty Barker in infancy, Bill Barker, Dot Smith, Bob Barker, Mary Vogele, Sam Davis, one grandson, one granddaughter, and two brothers-in-law.

He is survived by his wife Becky Davis; step-daughter Rachel (Harold, Jr.) Mountain; daughters Rachel (Vince) Gibbs, Kara (Anthony) Loggins, and Lisa (Mike Martin) McFarland; 11  grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Grace (Rich) Schneider, Virginia "Pat" (Craig) Trostle, Jane (Ron) Feger, Wanda (Kevin) Cassaday, Paul (Debbie) Davis, Jim (Dorothy) Davis, and Kathy (Jay) Thurber, brother-in-law Don Vogele, and sister-in-law Cindy Davis, and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends who will miss him immensely.

Visitation: 5-8 pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon. Visitation will continue at 10 am, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Spring Valley Baptist Church, 522 Maple St., Shiloh, IL.

Funeral: 11 am, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the church, with Pastor Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating. Graveside Service with military honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, IL.
