Christopher “Chris” Don Lindbo, 59, beloved son of Don (deceased) and Beverly Lindbo was called home to be with God on March 28, 2026.
Chris was born in Virginia the 28th of January, 1967. His father was in the Air Force and the family moved frequently as he was growing up. He and his sister, Carrie (Pinson) lived in Germany as well as several states during their school years. He was baptized at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
As a youngster, Chris took an interest in athletics...primarily soccer, football and swimming. He attended junior and senior high school in O'Fallon, Illinois where he played on the varsity soccer team for 3 years and the football team his senior year. During that time, he held a series of part-time jobs, including lifeguarding, short-order cook and waiter. After graduating from SIU Carbondale with a degree in Criminal Justice, Chris moved to Orange, California where he began working for the Disney Corporation at Disneyland.
Chris met and fell in love with his future wife, Debbie while at Disneyland. They married and had two beautiful children, Chad and Rachel who survive him. Also surviving him are his mother, Beverly Lindbo, his sister Carrie Pinson, brother-in-law Peter Pinson, nephews Matthew Pinson and Thomas Pinson as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chris left Disney and began working as a fraud investigator for an insurance company in southern California. During this time, Chris and Debbie divorced. He soon decided that he wanted to be near his family, so he moved back to Illinois where he resided until his death.
Chris was a dedicated weightlifter and loved riding his motorcycle. He was friendly and kind and funny. He enjoyed travel, especially if he could reach his destination by motorcycle. When his father was stricken with a devastating illness, Chris became one of his primary caregivers. The love, gentleness and devotion he showed were gifts not only to his father, but to his family. He left us too soon, but will always be cherished and missed.
The Lindbo family is grateful for the love and support of friends and family during this difficult time. Private services will be held at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O’Fallon, where a photo tribute can be viewed at www.wfh-ofallon.com.
Memorial donations are suggested to The Shiloh Church, 210 S. Main St., Shiloh, IL 62269 or online at https://theshilohchurch.churchcenter.com/giving.
