Claire Ann Douglass, age 72, of St. Louis, born January 29, 1950 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away December 16, 2022 at her home.

Claire grew up in East St. Louis and attended O'Fallon High School. She had a lengthy career in the St. Louis financial market, and worked many years with St. Louis Union Trust, before retiring in 2021. Claire was a Cardinals fan and an avid pet lover.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Georgette, nee Guithues, Thompson, and her cat Sassy.

Surviving are her brother Patrick and his wife Mary Sue Thompson of Beaufort, SC, nieces & nephews Jen Thompson, Lisa Ford, Bryan Thompson, Sarah Coronado, Patrick Thompson, Jordan Thompson, and Katie Scott; great niece Emmy Ford; great nephews Nolan Ford, Austin Brushenko, and Atlas Coronado; and her beloved dogs Gabby and Max.

Memorial donations would be appreciated to ASPCA, a charity that Claire loved.

Memorial Service: 11 am, Monday, January 9, 2023, at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill., with Msgr. Bill Hitpas officiating.

Burial of cremated remains will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, Ill.
