Claudia Lowry, age 80, of O'Fallon, born December 7, 1944 in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 following a brief illness.

Claudia had previously worked at Rothman Furniture and Wood Bakery, but enjoyed her time as a homemaker. She was faithful to her God, and loved her grandchildren beyond measure, always eager to attend their events.

Survivors include her longtime friend and partner Raymond Plaster; her children Dwayne (Cindy) Lowry, Keith (Kara) Lowry, Joseph (Lisa) Lowry; daughter-in-law Cathleen Lowry; brother Gary John Johnson and Robert Duncan; her beloved grandchildren Daniel (Krenda), Kenan (Emily), Kole, Kristen, Jackson, Mason, Joe (Alicia), Jessica; great-grandchildren Kyra, Avani, Noah, Elijah, Colin, Connor, Clayton, Esmae; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Brian Lowry; her husband Kenan Lowry in 1982; her parents Roger S. Vandeveer and Ada Laverne, nee Oliver, Vandeveer Duncan, siblings Rosalie (Leonard) Stokes, Evelyn (Rudy) Iler, and sister-in-law Glinnie Maria Johnson.
