Corey Donald Kirsch, age 42, of O'Fallon, Illinois, died Saturday, December 2, 2006. Corey was born February 6, 1964 in Belleville to Donald E. and Delores Mary (nee Willmann) Kirsch. He attended O'Fallon public schools, graduating in 1982. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1984 and served with the Special Forces in Desert Storm, Panama, and the Philippines. Following his Air Force service, Corey worked as a corrections officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Louis. He also worked in various positions within the commercial construction industry.


Mr. Kirsch was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Kirsch, who died August 2, 1999; his grandparents, Edna and Elmer Kirsch, and Erwin and Gladys Willmann.

He is survived by his loving mother, Delores "Dee" Kirsch of O'Fallon, sister Gina & her husband Paul Stroh of O'Fallon; two aunts, Shirley Dickhaut of O'Fallon and Betty (Carl) Sandberg of Peotone, IL; two uncles, Robert (Sandra) Willmann of St. Jacob, IL and John (Frieda) Willmann of Highland, IL; daughter Robyn Kirsch of Belleville and his grandson Zane.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at St. Clare Catholic Church, O'Fallon.

Funeral Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at St. Clare Catholic Church with Fa. Jim Deiters and Msgr. William Hitpas concelebrating.

Interment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Saint Louis, Missouri with full military honors.
