Obituary
Cori Lee Sobczak, age 37, born December 21, 1977 in Belleville, Ill., to Robert and Sharon, nee Vander Pluym, Sobczak passed away Thursday evening, October 1, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Cori was a loving mother and a talented artist. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She had previously worked as a forklift operator at Anheuser Busch Brewery. Cori appreciated the care and comfort she received from her numerous caregivers.
Surviving are her beloved daughter Ta'Corie Purnell of Belleville; her parents Bob and Sharon Sobczak of Swansea; her brother Robert M. (Megan) Sobczak of Waverly, Iowa, and her special friend and father of her children Frederick Purnell.
She was preceded in death by her son Frederick "Scooter" Purnell, Jr.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 West Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill.
