Wesley Curtis "Curt" Beedle, age 77, of O'Fallon, Ill., born September 3, 1941, in Belleville, Ill., passed away Sunday morning, August 18, 2019 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, Illinois.

Curt grew up in O'Fallon, graduating from OTHS in 1959. As a youngster, he won the Spelling Bee in the St. Louis region. He had a lifelong love of learning and read extensively throughout his life. He worked in IT with various companies, primarily in St. Louis. Curt enjoyed bird-watching and was a kind and generous man.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loring and Dorothy, nee Freeman, Beedle; and his brother Loring "Bunky" Beedle, Jr.

Surviving are his sister Leellyn DeVries and his brother Barry Beedle; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the "Friends of the O'Fallon Public Library" or your own local library, or to the American Cancer Society.

Private services will be held by the family.
