David C. Barker

David Cain Barker, age 58, of O'Fallon, formerly of Durant, Okla., born January 10, 1954 in Hobbs, N.M., passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012.

Mr. Barker graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Okla., with an undergraduate degree in computer science and graduate degree in business. He had worked throughout the metro-east and St. Louis area as a Systems Manager and Director in corporate computer sciences. David was a devoted father and will be missed by his family.

David was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Barker; and his infant daughter Melody.

Surviving are his wife, Diane B., nee Keene, Barker, of O'Fallon; four children, Aubrey LeeAnn (Benjamin) Pieper, of Granite City, Timothy David Barker of O'Fallon, Emily RoseBeth Barker of O'Fallon, Natalee JoLyn Barker of O'Fallon; twin grandchildren, Daisy AnnaLee and Donald Lindell Pieper. Also surviving are his mother Laura, nee Brackett, Barker of Durant, Okla., and his brother John Lewis (Becky) Barker of Norman, Okla.

Memorial Donations in honor of Mr. Barker may be mailed to First Baptist Church O'Fallon, 1111 E. US Highway 50, O'Fallon, IL 62269 or First Baptist Church Durant, 124 W. Evergreen, Durant, OK 74701. Memorials will also be accepted at the funeral home.

All services were held privately, with prayer and words of comfort offered by Reverend Dr. Doug Munton, with interment at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, Ill., under the care of Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Illinois.
