David Frances Coglianese, age 71, of Belleville, born September 1, 1946 in Spokane, Washington, died March 1, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.

David grew up in Warren, Michigan and came to the area 15 years ago. David was a great man, who cared deeply for others. He was a gifted and talented chef, and had worked in restaurant management for many years. He had been an avid golfer and was a devoted fan of the Detroit Lions.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rita, nee Bryska, Swiderski,; his father Ben Coglianese; his four-legged children Shakers, Pouncer, Kit, George, Mr. Cuddles, Shorty, Patches, Lexy, and Mr. Buttons.

Surviving are his wife Robin, nee Ames, Coglianese, of Belleville; his son David James (Kim) Coglianese; his sisters Fiorita (Lenny) Coglianese Moravick, and Sandy (Craig) Swiderski Lane, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his adopted children Angel Madsen and Jason Gain, and his beloved dogs Mama Bear and Lady.
