Dennis Adron Carroll, age 72, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Belleville, Illinois, born May 6, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away October 17, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

Dennis was a wonderful father and "PaPa." He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful singing voice. His faith in God and his church family were very important to him. He was a kind, encouraging, and compassionate man. He had previously worked as a court bailiff for St. Clair County.

He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Floyd Carroll and Geneva Mildred, nee Johnson, Carroll, whom he loved much and was very clsoe to; and his brother Bill Stephenson.

Surviving are his much loved daughters Elizabeth Ann (Ryan) Richardson of Hernando, Miss., Rebekah Lynn (James) Clark of Marietta, Ohio., his grandchildren Katie, Jonah, and Aaron Richardson; and Noah, Emma, and Tatum Clark; his former spouse and mother of his daughters Sandra Grewe of Shiloh; his sister-in-law Lou Stephenson of Jefferson City, Mo., and his good friend Jim.

As a gesture of appreciation for their friendship and kindness shown to Dennis, memorial donations are suggested to Christian Homecare Services, Inc., 115 W. Randle, Lebanon, Ill., 62254.

Funeral: The family will conduct a Memorial Service at 6:30 p.m., Monday, October 19, at Fairview Heights Church of Christ, 9955 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Mr. Joe Taylor officiating.
