Diana Klaus (née Osenkowski), age 51, of Shiloh, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.
Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Diana grew up in Washingtonville, New York, and she made Illinois her home in 2000. Diana was admired by her colleagues for her unwavering work ethic and loyalty and was always willing to put in extra hours.
Diana’s love for nature was evident in her passion for flower gardening and caring for her plants. She cherished time spent by the ocean, swimming, and basking in the sunshine. A devoted New York Rangers hockey fan, Diana also had a fondness for dolphins, collecting dolphin-themed décor and jewelry, and designs that brought her joy. Mostly, she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas J. Osenkowski, Jr. Surviving are her husband James Klaus, Jr., daughter Paige Loomis, mother Laura Osenkowski, sister Cassandra (Pete) Zerneri; niece Camille (Justin) Schultz, nephew Anthony Zerneri; and aunt Patricia Vandervelden; mother-in-law Carol Klaus; sisters-in-law: Renee (Dave) Marasco, Kim (Joel) Clasquin; brothers-in-law Nic (Ashley) Klaus and Danny (Cassie) Klaus, and ten additional nieces and nephews.
Diana loved all creatures, but will be especially missed by her dogs Klondike and Sage; and her cats Luna, Chara, and Kiki.
