Diane Barbara Hill, nee Metz, age 68, of Freeburg, Ill., born July 9, 1949 in Belleville, Ill., passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Diane grew up in O'Fallon, attended St. Clare Grade School, and graduated from O'Fallon Township High School. She worked for 35 years as a budget analyst at Scott AFB. Diane was a superb quilter, and she enjoyed arts & crafts, ceramics, and basket-making. She had a natural gift as a home decorator, and enjoyed playing dominoes with her girlfriends. She had many wonderful opportunities to travel with her husband all around the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents Douglas Frank Metz and Dorothy Barbara, nee Siegel, Metz; her brother Dennis F. Metz, niece Brandy Metz, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Olsen.

Surviving are her husband Robert Hill; her step-daughters Beth Kvothe of San Antonio, Tex., and Rachael Noll of Houston, Tex., grandchildren Trevor and Julia Noll, nephew Jason (Penny) Metz of O'Fallon, and brother-in-law Richard (Christine) Hill of Isle of Palms, S.C.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon.

Funeral: 10:00 am, Friday, December 29, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh.
