Dolores Ann Sheridan, nee Guidry, age 86, of Maryville, formerly of Belleville and Troy, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Elmwood Care Center, Maryville, Ill.

Born August 2, 1935 in Crowley, La., Dolores grew up in Houma, La., where she graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School. Dolores moved often as a young mother and former wife of a career Air Force airman, living in California, Virginia, Mascoutah, Ill., Ramstein Air Base Germany, Kansas City, and finally settling in the O'Fallon area in 1978. She loved her friends and neighbors at her former apartment residences in Belleville and later Troy, where her small apartment was often the hub of gatherings and domino games. She also developed long-lasting friendships through her association with Parents Without Partners. Dolores was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and was known for her hospitality and southern charm. Many area families will recall Miss Dolores as a kind caregiver to a decade of 2-year-olds at Our World Day Care in O'Fallon.

She was preceded in death by her parents James A. Guidry and Irene, nee Primeaux, Guidry; and her sister Margaret Belanger.

Surviving are her sons Arthur (Noreen) Sheridan of Swansea; and Alan (Dawn) Sheridan of Maryville; grandchildren Tiffany (Austin) Sonnenberg and Sean Sheridan; great-grandchildren Aiden, Peyton, and Brady Sonnenberg; and her sister Goldie Fones of Houston; one niece and two nephews.

Funeral: 11 am, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, Ill.
