Obituary
Donald Edward Miller, age 60, current resident of Murphysboro, formerly of O'Fallon and the metro-east, died November 26, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Born June 23, 1954, Don grew up in O'Fallon, and joined the Army at a young age. He later worked at various sales positions throughout the metro east, most recently in the auto industry. Don enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Elsie, nee Bates, Miller, his brother Gene Colbert, infant brother Charles Douglas Miller, and toddler sister Evelyn June Colbert.
Surviving are his four sons Christopher E. Miller, Michael E. Miller, both of Troy; Nicholas A. Miller, Andrew R. Miller, both of Caseyville; brothers Jim (Jana) Miller of O'Fallon, Richard (Marian) Miller of O'Fallon, and sister Judy Baker. Also surviving are three grandchildren Reid, Holt, and Destiny.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with medical and funeral expenses, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
To celebrate the life of Don Miller, military honors will begin at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the funeral home, with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m.
