Donna C. Beck, age 67, of Belleville, born January 31, 1954 in Inglewood, Calif., to Ralph and Rose, nee Hick, Corbett, passed away Thursday morning, November 11, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.

Born and raised in Inglewood, Calif., the middle of three children, Donna earned her BA in History and Spanish from UC Irvine in 1976, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  While a student there, she met her future husband Kent. They married June 17, 1976. Early in their marriage, she worked as a librarian as she and Kent pursued careers that took them across the country. In 1982, while living in Erie, Pennsylvania, they welcomed their son Robert into the family. In 1985, after moving to Bellevue, Neb., they welcomed their daughter Carolyn. In 1992, they settled in Belleville, Ill., where they continued to work and raise their children. Donna was a member at Faith Lutheran Church, a substitute teacher in the metro-east for many years, and later served for a decade as the administrator of the national Lutheran fraternity Beta Sigma Psi. She was an active volunteer in her children's activities, always working hard to make their holidays and family events special. She loved quilting and cross-stitching, as well as mystery novels, trivia nights, and gardening.

Donna was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2006. Despite the effects of this condition, she remained active in her family and community and did not allow her limitations to define her. The family mourns her loss, but takes comfort in knowing that she is at peace after a long struggle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Michael Corbett, and her sister Janice Corbett.

Surviving are her husband Kent M. Beck of Belleville; son Robert (Alicia Swan) Beck of San Antonio; daughter Carolyn (Mark) Bates of Charleston, Ill., and her sweet granddaughter Leona Beck, whom she loved to FaceTime with every Sunday.

Visitation will be from 5:30 - 7:30 pm,  Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home in O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral Service will be 11 am,  Friday, November 19, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, 520 E. Highway 50, O'Fallon, with Pastor Candice Wassell officiating.
