Donna Lee Frailey, 73, of O'Fallon, Ill., passed away on January 14, 2018 surrounded by friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and sister.

Donna was married to Dr. Donald R. Frailey, Sr. on December 23, 1967; they recently celebrated their 50 ^th wedding anniversary.

Donna was born in Valmeyer, Ill., on July 25, 1944. She graduated from Freeburg High School in 1962 and matriculated from SIU Carbondale in 1966 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology.  She was a farmer, teacher, and entrepreneur throughout her life.  Her most recent employment was as a high school chemistry and physics teacher at Colchester High School. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family.  She was a lifelong learner and had a gift for sharing her knowledge with others, touching many people's lives along the way.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Frank Russell Nation Sr. and Bernice, nee Pieper, Nation.

Donna is survived by her husband, Dr. Donald R. Frailey, Sr.; her son, Dr. Donald R. (Karilyn Newell) Frailey, Jr. and her grandchildren Donovan Frailey, Cameron Frailey, and Ethan Frailey, Step-granddaughter Sophia Newell; her brothers Dr. Frank Russell (Michelle) Nation, Jr., and Paris M. (Vicky) Nation, and her nieces Tiffany (Justin) Zobrist and Rebecca Nation and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill., with funeral rites to follow, beginning at 6:00 pm, with Deacon Dan Corbett officiating.

Graveside Committal Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery Peace Chapel, Belleville, Ill.
