Dorothy Josephine Beedle, nee Freeman, was born January 17, 1912 in Asheville, North Carolina to Arthur and Etta Freeman.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Beedle was somewhat of an entrepreneur, selling various commodities from her home-based businesses and working as a sales associate at Sears & Roebuck Department Stores. She was a collector of antiques and her sense of humor was easily portrayed by the types of items she acquired. She enjoyed the blessing of living in her own home until just a few short months ago when her health began to fail. She passed away at 8:57 a.m., Saturday morning, November 15, 2008 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare Center in Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Loring Beedle in 1990. She is survived by her three children Curt Beedle, Barry Beedle, and Leellyn DeVries .

All services are private, with Rev. Mike Garrison, Chaplain of Heartland Hospice, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
