Dorothy Mildred McArdle, nee Anheuser, age 91, of Menifee, Calif., former long-time resident of O'Fallon, Ill., born March 26, 1924 to John L. and Laurene "Lady," nee Daniels, Anheuser, passed away December 14, 2015 at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, Calif.

Mrs. McArdle grew up in O'Fallon and worked at the O'Fallon Post Office, retiring after 42 years as the Assistant Postmaster. She loved the community of O'Fallon and her friends and family here. Her father John was a former St. Clair County Township Supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Kathleen "Getta" Pinegar; great-grandson Jacob Owens, and her brothers Donald Anheuser in infancy, and Ronald Anheuser, and niece Darlene Anheuser.

Surviving are her daughter Patricia "Trish" Ann (Kinder) Gemberling of Menifee, Calif., granddaughter Christine (Richard), nee Kinder, Owens, of Menifee, Calif., three great-grandchildren Scott Russell, Emma Owens, and Mia Owens; one great-great-granddaughter Aleah Russell, nephew Ronald John Anheuser, niece Tammy Janiscak, sister-in-law Yvonne Anheuser, and many beloved cousins.

Memorial donations are suggested to St Clare Catholic School.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, December 21, 2015 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon. Visitation will continue at 9:00 am, Tuesday, at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the church, with Rev. James Deiters presiding. Interment will be at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, Ill.
