Obituary
Dorothy Jane Watson, nee Graham, age 96, of O'Fallon, born November 1, 1919 in Keokuk, Iowa, passed away April 22, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare, Lebanon, Ill.
Dorothy was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps; during her military service, she met her husband Jack while they were both stationed in Colorado.
Mrs. Watson was a member of Christ United Methodist Church since 1966 and was a member of UMW. An Avon sales representative for over 40 years, she also taught Home Economics at O'Fallon Twp. High School in the early 1970s. She travelled extensively with her husband, enjoyed bowling and needlework, and was a member of a literary club.
Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother and a thoughtful and generous grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack D. Watson, whom she married May 8, 1946 in Cumberland, Md., and who passed away June 29, 1991; her son-in-law Terry Mueller, grandson Barrett Mueller; and her parents Harry and Edith, nee Wiggle, Graham, sister Eleanor Graham, and brother Robert Graham.
Surviving are her children Margaret Lynn "Peggy" (Gary) Tracy of Clayton, N. C., Jack "Ted" (Deborah) Watson of Lincoln, Neb., Rodney (Mary) Watson of Northville, Mich., and Deborah Mueller of O'Fallon; grandchildren Shawn (Amy) Tracy, Scott (Susan) Tracy, Tyler Watson, Ryan (Erin) Watson, Katherine (Bryan) Schlueter, Brian Watson, Ian Watson, Derek (Cindy) Mueller, Holly (Justin) Blackwell, and Lori Mueller; nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations are suggested to Cedar Ridge Healthcare or Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home. The Watson family is appreciative of the kindness and compassion shown by Heartland Hospice and Cedar Ridge staff.
Visitation: Friends may visit from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Monday, April 25, 2016 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 25, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Shane Bishop officiating.
Graveside Service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Graham Cemetery, Denver, Ill.
