Obituary

Dovie Bell Adam, (nee Willhelm) age 98, of O'Fallon, Illinois, born March 29, 1909 in Weiner, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Covenant Care of O'Fallon. She previously worked at the small arms ammunition plant in St. Louis and Brooks Catsup Factory in Collinsville. Dovie owned and operated The Lincoln Café in O'Fallon for 10 years (1940-50). She enjoyed gardening and was a kind and loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Adam was preceded in death by her parents, William and Missouri (nee Palmer) Willhelm; husband, Melvin Adam, whom she married June 1, 1946 in O'Fallon, her infant son Amiel; grandson, Charles Kiskadden, and siblings, Mary Wilbanks, Lena Mead, Lulu Kiskadden, Richard Willhelm, Gilbert Willhelm, Claire Hughes, and Emma Lou Self.

She is survived by her daughter, Sadie (nee Scadden) Cobb of O'Fallon; sons James Kiskadden of Minerva, Ohio and Charles (Shirley) Kiskadden of Ocoee, Fla; Grandchildren, Sherri (Philip) Elliott of Troy; Elizabeth Cobb, of O'Fallon; Donna Sue (Ralph) Lyons of Ohio; Jimmy (Sharon) Kiskadden of Ohio; and Bobby Kiskadden of Texas. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Nathan (Ronnette) Elliott of Decatur, IL; Daniel (Jennie) Elliott of Troy; Kyle Lyons, US Navy; and Shania Lyons of Ohio; and one great great grandson, Noble Elliott; three sisters, Audrey Greiner of Troy, IL; Rose McCusker of Washington, and Ella Bell Ruesewald of Arkansas.

Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. A special thank you to the staff at Covenant Care of O'Fallon for their kindness and care.

Visitation: Friends may call 3 – 7 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2007 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Wolfersberger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Price, Pastor, Troy United Methodist Church, presiding.

Interment will be in O'Fallon City Cemetery.
