Edgar Allen Hock, age 52, of Ava, formerly of O'Fallon, born October 6, 1961 in Belleville, Ill., died unexpectedly on Monday morning, September 15, 2014 in Murphysboro, Ill. Ed grew up in O'Fallon and was an avid bow-hunter and shotgun-hunter. He loved being outdoors and barbecuing with his friends and his much-loved family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sylvester and Virginia, Missey, Hock; sister Donna Hock, son Justin Hock, former wife Sandra White, brother-in-law Clifford Reeder, Sr., and his canine companion Malaki.

He is survived by his fiancé Cathy Butler of Ava, Ill.; two sons Robert (fiancé Sara Williams) Hock of Willisville, Ill., and James (Michelle) Hock of Fayetteville, Ill., brother Wilbur "Bud" (Vicky) Hock of Ava, sister Carol Reeder of Ava, sister Brenda (William) Dawson of Fayetteville, Ill.; step-sons Derrick Twardoski, Ryan LePes, Aaron Butler.

Also surviving are his grandchildren Robert, Jr., Jared, Kyle, Abby, Jamie, Emily, Kelsey, Kaylee, Shayna, and Aubrey Hock, Maiya Twardoski, Declan Redwine, Braden Lynott, Natalie LePes, Aaron Butler, Jr., Mackya Butler, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Donations are suggested to American Cancer Society or Diabetes Association.

Funeral: Graveside Service will be at 2:30 pm, Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lebanon, Ill.
