Edward Paul Hendricks, age 51, born November 8, 1972 in Belleville, Ill., the youngest of seven, passed away December 28, 2023 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Ed grew up in O'Fallon and attended St. Clare Catholic grade school. He worked various jobs, including as a courier, audio-visual stagehand, as a mechanic at U-Pic-A-Part, and most recently as a maintainer at St. Henry priests' residence in Belleville. Eddie loved music and could play the drums, guitar, and keyboard. He was charming, witty, kind, and generous, and was a loyal caretaker to his parents. In spite of Eddie's struggles, he was able to help others over the years, including his final life-saving gift as an organ donor.

He was preceded in death by his brother Brian Hendricks.

He is survived by his parents James Raymond Hendricks, Sr. and Carol, nee Coleman, Hendricks, of O'Fallon; four sons Samuel, Brandon, Edward, II, and Gregory; his siblings Robyn (Eric) Weible, Sherrie (Don) Schad, James (Vickie) Hendricks, Jr., Timothy (Tracy) Hendricks, and Gregory (Diana) Hendricks; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he considered his family.

The family will receive friends from 9 – 10:30 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh, followed by Mass at 10:30 am, at the church, with Rev. James Deiters presiding. A luncheon will follow at the church.
