Elisabeth Maria Rothschild (nee Rigam), age 79, passed away October 14, 2007 at Sunrise in Fair Oaks Assisted Living Facility, Fairfax, Va. Elisabeth was born December 30, 1927, in Germany. She was a resident of O'Fallon, Illinois for 32 years, having arrived in 1970 with her husband, retired Major Herbert H. Rothschild, for his duty at Scott Air Force Base. While in O'Fallon, she was a realtor for Coldwell Banker and a member of the O'Fallon Woman's Club. Elisabeth moved to Virginia in 2002.


She is survived by her daughter Nancy M. Rothschild of Belleville, sons David B. Rothschild of Fairfax, Va. and Theodore K. and his wife Teresa Rothschild of Chantilly, Va., and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Memorial Donations in honor of Mrs. Rothschild may be made to Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Ste. 500, Falls Church, VA 22042.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.

Memorial Service: Immediately following visitation at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2007 with Msgr. William Hitpas officiating.

Interment of cremated remains will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007.
