Elizabeth "Dolly" Larsen, (nee Steele) age 71, of O'Fallon, Ill., born in St. Paul, Minn., passed away Tuesday evening, August 28, 2007 at Rosewood Care Center in Swansea.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife, supporting her husband's military career. She was a dedicated homemaker and a loving mother to her four children. Elizabeth was a member of the Sears Retiree Club and was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeannie (nee Kay) and David Steele, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her husband David Larsen, of O'Fallon, whom she married Dec. 8, 1971 in St. Paul, Minn.; her children, Mark (Ellen) Hipkins of Collinsville, Okla.; Shelley (Brian) Oxford of Omaha, Neb.; Donald Hipkins of Augusta, Maine; and Kim (Jay) Knopp of Allenwood, Penna.; seven granddaughters and four grandsons, all of whom she was very proud.

In honor of Mrs. Larsen, Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or charity of donor's choice.

Visitation: There will be no visitation.

Funeral Service: Memorial service will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church (new location on Cross St.), O'Fallon, with Rev. Jim Deiters presiding, 9:00 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2007.

Interment of cremated remains will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo, immediately following the Memorial Service. A luncheon will follow at O'Fallon VFW Post 805. All friends and family are encouraged to come.
