IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Emma Lee
Pigg
September 9, 1916 – January 8, 2019
Emma Lee Pigg, nee Anness, age 102, of O'Fallon, Ill., born September 9, 1916 in Harrison County, Kentucky, passed away January 8, 2019 at Aviston Countryside Manor, in Aviston, Illinois.
Emma Lee joined the Colemansville, Kentucky Christian Church early in her life. She spent her married life as a farm wife and homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and doll-making and her quilts have homes in many states. One of her many joys was in creating crafts and giving them away. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ira Pigg, an infant daughter Mary Frances; son-in-law Jack Brown; parents James William and Julia Frances, nee Roland, Anness; brothers Frank, Edgar, Robert, Kenneth, and Newton; sisters Catherine, Lena, and Betty.
Surviving are her daughter Dorothy Brown; granddaughter Vicki L. Jung; great-grandsons David and Michael Jung; and many nieces and nephews.
She always said she wanted flowers while she was living; therefore, in lieu of flowers, if you choose to give a donation, please consider either Heartland Hospice, O'Fallon Food Pantry, or the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois, where she lovingly created and donated many hand-made quilts and afghans over the years. Donations will be accepted at the funeral home.
