To My Wife:
We have done everything together you and I -
We've walked the lowest valleys And climbed the mountains high.
But now you're gone, and I remain
God chose to keep me here.
I'll finish all the work we had
And love the ones, that you held dear.
I'll pet your dog, I'll plant the seeds.
That we planted every spring.
We'll watch them grow together
And see the beauty that they bring.
Walk slowly down that road my dear
For I won't be far behind.
You'll hear me call your name again
And I'll hear you calling mine.
We'll embrace again once more
And hold each other tight,
Then together, we will walk
Towards God's eternal light. -From Your Husband
