Farrell Leonard Trousdale, age 77, of Effingham, Ill., born February 18, 1942 in Flora, Ill., died following a brief illness on Thursday morning, July 18, 2019 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, Ill.

Farrell grew up in Flora, and worked many years for Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, in Park Ridge, Ill. as a biomedical engineer. He was a talented amateur photographer and had an interest in boats and aviation. Farrell was a proud father and grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Kenneth Trousdale and Olive Maude, nee Fitch, Trousdale; his former wife Christine Arslanovski; and his sister Anita Cooper.

Surviving are his children Margaret (Thomas) Firak of Chicago, Anthony (Melita) Trousdale of Louisville, Ill., and Derek Trousdale of Godfrey, Ill., nine grandchildren Nadia, Eric, Anthony, Jr., Dominick, Ethan, Grace Anne, Mary Sophia, Neil, and Sean; and his sister Rita Trousdale of Chicago.

The family will host a memorial service in the future.
