Florine Whobrey, nee Reno, age 95, lifelong resident of O'Fallon, Ill., was born June 10, 1926, and passed away October 8, 2021.

Florine was first and foremost a wife and mother and later worked in retail for a short while, then as a dental office manager for over 20 years. She was an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and Yesterday's Kids until she became ill.

Florine was a wonderfully kind-hearted person who throughout her life helped to care for her mother, her mother- and father-in-law, her sister, her uncle, and, most of all, her husband. She simply loved family. She was fun and spunky, too, and her family has many warm and funny memories that they will treasure and recall forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 71 years, Charles "Shelly" Whobrey, parents Eugene and Flora Reno, sisters Virginia Biver and Leona Kurtz, and brothers Ardell, Melvin "DeDe", and Ralph Reno.

Surviving are her daughters Carol (Corky) Mauchline of O'Fallon, and Linda (Donald) Zedrow of Montgomery, Ill.; grandchildren Kelly Estes, Matthew, Joel, and Patrick Zedrow; ten great-grandchildren; sister Mary (Erv) Rettinghouse; sister-in-law Nathalie Reno; and nieces and nephews.

Florine's family would like to express their immense gratitude to the Brightly Senior Living Memory Care staff for the kind, gentle, and loving care they provided during Florine's journey with Alzheimer's.

Visitation: 5 – 8 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon.

Funeral:  Procession will depart the funeral home at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2021 for a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10 a.m., at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas St., O'Fallon. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
