Frank E. Holton, 84 of O'Fallon, Ill. passed September 23, 2023 at 10:23 am in his home surrounded by family, loved ones and his dog Woody.

Frankie was born June 2, 1939 in East St. Louis to James and Eunice (Fritchie) Holton. He was united in marriage on June 21, 1958 to Patricia N. Bernard of Augusta, Maine. Together they started their family and were married 61 years.

Frankie, a US veteran, enlisted with the U.S. Navy in 1956 embarking on his 4 years of naval duties.

After Frankie's time in the service, his other jobs included working at Monsanto for a span of some years followed by working as a civil service engineer at Scott Air Force base until he retired in 1993.

In his years of retirement, Frankie enjoyed traveling across the US in the Motorhome with his wife and family where they adventured to varying national parks and casinos along the way. One of his favorite things to do was support his son's sporting teams as he was growing up followed by cheering on his grandchildren in their numerous sports endeavors throughout their childhood into college. When he wasn't watching his family play sports, he looked forward to watching his favorite funny guy, Steve Harvey on Family Feud and professional sporting events like golf, football and basketball on his TV every day. When he wasn't at home, he liked driving to the casino and playing at the craps table and visiting the Collinsville Rec Club with friends and members often.

Frankie is survived by his son Alan Sr. and daughter-in-law Kimberly Holton of O'Fallon; four grandchildren, Brandon (Lai Meng Chen) Holton of Taipei, Taiwan, Alan Jr (Kimberly Jenschke) Holton of O'Fallon, Haley (Jackson) Rushin of Jackson, Mo., Collin Holton of O'Fallon; and two great- grandchildren Isla and Isaac Holton of Taipei, Taiwan; sister-in-law Murlene Causey of Paducah, several nieces and nephews that loved and cared about him greatly. Lastly, he cherished his last hours with his loving furchild, Woody, guarding him as he was called into eternal rest.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Patsy; his son Little Frankie Jr; three brothers George Holton, Jim Causey, John Blue, and sister-in-law Kathleen (Lyons) Blue.
