Gary A. Klos, age 72, of O'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Chicago Heights, Ill., born May 13, 1940 in Chicago Heights, Ill., passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 in Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Klos served as a federal agent in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General. He was a member of Illinois High School Association, umpiring and refereeing for over 35 years.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Luvurne, nee Davis, Klos.
Surviving are his wife, Carol, nee Marthaler, Klos of O'Fallon, Ill., children Ellen (John) Dini of Mount Prospect, Ill., Jeffrey (Anne) Klos of La Grange, Ill., Kevin (Kiffin) Klos of Austin, Tex., Timothy (Nora) Klos of Chicago, Ill., Mary Beth (Jeffrey) Riepe of O'Fallon, Ill., and Amy (Adam) Dunwoody of O'Fallon, Ill. Also surviving are grandchildren Caroline, Daniel, Matthew, Elizabeth, Brian, Claire, Kathryn, and Jacob, and his sister Sally (Joe) Klyczek of Chicago Heights, Ill.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Nicholas Catholic Church or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
Visitation: Friends may call from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at St. Nicholas Chatholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill. All services will be at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the church with Msgr. William Hitpas presiding. Interment in Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, Ill.
