Obituary
Gary W. "Reddi Whip" Retting, age 65, of O'Fallon, Ill. passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010.
He was born to Wilber and June (nee Mustard) Retting on Sept. 5, 1945 in New Orleans, La. but spent most all of his life in O'Fallon. He graduated from OTHS in 1963, attended Belleville Area College and Ranken Trade School. He was a self-employed draftsman. He loved animals and often rode his horses in O'Fallon parades.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Retting may be made to Spencer Pet Rescue.
Mr. Retting is survived by his dedicated and loving caregiver, Sherry Minchew of O'Fallon and his friends from O'Fallon Senior Apartments.
Graveside Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at O'Fallon City Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Veale officiating.
