Geraldine "Jerry" P. Bobbitt

Geraldine Bobbitt, (nee Phillips) age 84, of O'Fallon, Illinois, born July 6, 1923 in Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Monday, August 13, 2007, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Jerry moved to O'Fallon in 1961, in support of her husband's career. Jerry was a member of the World Organization of China Painters, Carbondale Porcelain Art Guild, and was nationally certified as a China Painting instructor. She had attended O'Fallon First United Methodist Church. Jerry was a beautiful, kind, and gentle woman. She was very generous and loving to her friends and family.

Mrs. Bobbitt was preceded in death by her parents, Burton Sanders and Nettie May "Cad" (nee Sweeney) Phillips of Hillsboro, Tex.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph T. Bobbitt of O'Fallon, Ill.; daughter Pamela Jo Bobbitt-Pierson and her husband, John, of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Hannah (fiance Aaron Heller) Pierson and grandson, Joseph Pierson, all of Indianapolis; a very special friend, Karen (Richard) Kreiman of Bethalto, Ill. and dear friends, Al and Joel Craddock. She is also survived by many, many loving cousins in Hillsboro, Texas.

Memorial Donations may be made to American Cancer Society in honor of Jerry and in memory of her dear friend Nell Craddock.

Visitation: Friends may call 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill

Funeral Service: 7:00 pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill, with Pastor Ron Dickinson officiating.

Interment will be in Hillsboro, Tex.
