Obituary

Geraldine "Gerri" Little, age 67, of O'Fallon, Ill., passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at her home. Gerri was born to Charles Presley and Margaret Frances (nee Bonds) Tillman on June 12, 1939, in O'Fallon, Ill. Ms. Little had worked as a waitress at Checker Inn Restaurant from 1965 – 1976. She had also worked at Famous-Barr and VFW Post #8677, where she was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary. She was a generous caregiver and hard worker; her home was always open to the homeless.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Blane (Juanita) Little of Belleville, Tamara Lynn (Mike) Darling of O'Fallon, Tracy Jane (Mark) Lewis of O'Fallon, Tina Beth (Bob) Cozart of Carlock, Ill., Elaine Faye (Todd) Fix of O'Fallon, and Mark Wade Boelling of Vandalia; sisters Florence (Don) Reeves of Sparta, Sandra (Adolph, "Jr.") Schneider of Swansea, Alice (Tom) Parris of O'Fallon, Peggy (Kenny) Conway of New London, Mo., and JoAnn (Charlie) Simmons of Osage Beach, Mo. Also, dear friend Joyce Eisenhower of Freeburg, son-in-law, Tim Fisk, twelve grandchildren: Marty, T.J., Lexy, Michael, Clara, Melanie, Christina, Jessica, Nicole, Natalie, Jennifer, and Jessica; and 6 great- grandchildren: Luke, Chloe, Vincent, David, Gabby, and Izabela.

Gerri was preceded in death by her children, Shirley Rose Fisk (1999), Jerrett Lucas Little (1998) and Sheilia Lorene Little (1967); and siblings, Elvis Jimes, Donald Jimes, Claudette "Tooter" Swain, William Tillman, Shirley McCallister, James Tillman, and Robert Tillman.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 29th at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon. The VFW Post 8677 Ladies' Auxiliary will conduct a service at 6:00 pm.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home chapel.

Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Gardens with a luncheon to follow at VFW Post #8677, Fairview Heights, Ill. Friends and family are welcome.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
